Senior Class History Some of our Seniors came to John C. the first year the high school was begun During this year they went through the difficulties of going to a newly established school. The next year as Juniors, they faced the impossible task of putting on a Junior Senior with only five in the class. Our Juniors proved, that with effort and work, nothing is impossible. This will always be a Wild Thing in the life of John C, This year the Big Five is setting an example for years to come, As the Seniors leave, the Academy will change but the Big Five will always be remembered. 50 51 MICHAEL ELIE SMOAK 52 Most Courteous Michael Smoak 53 Best Personality Fred Kemmerlin 54 Friendliest 55 Best All Around Lila Smith 56 SECRETARY-TREASURER Sybil Spell VICE-PRESIDENT Marilyn Robinson PRESIDENT Nancy McDaniel Juniors Class Officers 59 Jill Craven Richard Easterlin Sarah Fick Frankie Gentry Mchael Hickman Jamie Hiott Gregory Knight Linda Lewis Nancy McDaniel Mary Ann Muckenfuss Kay Murdaugh Deanne Nettles Gloria Padgett Marilyn Robinson Debbie Rogers Sue Sauls 60 61 Class Officers PRESIDENT Jenne Pick Sophomores VICE-PRESIDENT Mike Benton 62 SECRETARY-TREASURER Dianne Culpepper Kay Axon Mike Benton Cheryl Black Kay Burch Diane Crosby Susan Crosby Dianne Culpepper Suzanne Cummings Teresa Davis Vincent Fargnoli Jenne Fick Scott Hodges Ronnie Kulhanek Ricky Linder Johnny McClellan Susan McClellan Ann Owens Becky Sanders Bill Steadman Danny Strickland 63 64 65 SECRETARY-TREASURER Karen Price Shari Benton Id ell Craven Vicky Craven Boo Drake Debra Fender Barnwell Fishburne Debra Hart Jess Henderson Paula Hughes Tommy Kemmerlin Mike Mitchell Kathy Murdaugh Annette Murray Robin Odum Randy Peters Terry Pierce Karen Price Michael Shiell Beverly Strickland Bonnie Thompson 67 68 Jimmy Beach Kim Boatwright Ann Burch Bob Burch Henry Cook Cathy Crosby Dawn Culpepper Judy Fender Jim Gentry Reba Godwin Emmie Haynes Becky James Danny Kinard Karen Murdaugh Sandy Pellum Nat Smith 69 Carol Black Bob Cook BUI Burch Cindy Evans Jack Bailey Joe Byrd Robbie Bennett Tony Connelly Seventh Grade Leroy Gibson Pam Moore Amy Guess Ronald Muckenfuss Leigh Mark Henderson Hurlbutt Patricia Jackie Murdaugh Nettles Edith Ann Linder Debbie Smoak Lesa Mathis Michael Smoak Dickie Mitchell Mark Steed ley 70 Eugenia Beach Ann Crosby Barron Vandi Burch Burress Robbie Clifton Crosby Culpepper Cathy Michele Donna Byrd Chastain Cope Annette Laurie Robbie Davis Drake Fender Teresa Crosby Lucia Fick Sixth Grade Phil Hurlbutt George Allen Jackson Tim Hughes Gilbert Jones Beth Hiott Maline Padgett Cindy Infinger Mary Wynn Todd 71 Fifth Grade Mitch Bailey Donna Beach Johnny Black Dick Burch Billy Carter Wayne Craven Tootsie Evans Neal Gentry Gina Godwin Kassie Haynes Patti Heverly Johnny Hiatt Tommy James Neyle Jervey Lucy McDaniel Lennis Pearcy Marie Renew Keith Rizer Jerry Smoak Robin Strickland Gene Varn John Williams Lee Wimberly Donna Witsell Becky Woodard 72 Fourth Grade Ladd Ackerman Brantley Beach Kay Bryan Ronnie Connelly Bill Cook Billy Crosby Julie Crosby Denise Culpepper Janice Cummings Billy Drawdy Alan Fender Noel Fick David Gibson Mary Kay Godwin Wendy Hiott Tommy Howard Ronald Keegan Pat Lewis Marshall Reeves Miles Sanders Phyllis Smoak Tim Steele Karen Strickland Terri Ulmer Steve Wimberley 73 Jackie Beech Alan Bozard Robin Berry Bud Brown Cindy Flowers Perry Hiott Curt Pearcy Mary Tennant Stacy Griffith Ann Jervey Carolyn Rizer Andrea Ulmer Alison Guess Annie Lee Keegan Angie Robertson Jan Yarn Gail Hickman Bobilu Padgett Paul Steadman Kenny Young Annette Beach Jerry Breland Nancy Black Jay Buddin Second Grade Curt Evans Erik Fender Joe Flowers Michael Kemmerlin Bill Padgett Craig W alker Richard Free Mark Lybrand Cricket Smith Ann Wimberley Johnny Graham Kim Miller John Tennant Debbie Witsell Bill Johns Betty Nettles Thomas Thompson David Woodard Scott Bailey Cindy Beech Marie Bennett Abbie Boatwright George Brown Lesa Craven George Culbreth Skip Cummings Ann Erwin Scott Fennessy 78 First Grade Terry II Grayson Stephany Griffin Shane Griffith Scott Grooms Betsy Haynes El Jervey Melissa Johnston Jimmy Linder Dwight Mitchell Mary Carlisle McLeod Michelle Price Patti Robertson Ginny Sams Becky Smith Jimmy Syfrett 79 Kindergarten 80 Jodi Baggett Rhonda Bailey Michelle Beach Ken Beach David Bennett Kevin Bennett Richard Breland James Brown Jerry Bryant Rusty Craven Johnny Cummings Cheryl Davis Richard Drake Elaine Flowers Melissa Fulton James Gamble 81 Beth Howard Mary Ann Hudson Kevin Martin Jimmy Mitchell Bill Pifer Qndy Reeves Dwayne Ritter Janis Segars Jamie Simmons Greg Smith Johnny Smoak Dan Steele Roger Thomas Gina Tuten Buddy Ulmer Jane Ulmer Billy Varn John Walker 82 And LIFE Goes On . . .
