We will remember you for the rest of our lives, and again it's difficult to define what will st- and out in our memories of you. If asked on some future day, most of us would describe you as one who really cared for us. Your honesty with the students made that so appar- ent to many of us, and the warmth in your greetings in the hall demon- strated it to many others. In this letter, our last to you, we want to say thank you for so many things. But most of all, we want to thank you for caring! - Class of 1975

In recognition of James Stevens Any student who has been blessed by the study of chemistry or has eaten dirt on the football field and survived, will always remember Mr. Stevens. No one will ever forget his grueling mul- tiple-guess tests or his discertations on rocks and minerals. For the past 10 years, his teaching ability and leadership have endeared him to the Burroughs Community. Often during his classes which are conducted in a relaxed but challenging atmosphere, Mr. Stevens will introduce outside information which pertains fmost of the timej to chemistry. Be- cause of his recent interests in rock hounding for leverite collectingj, Mr. Stevens has been able to present many fascinating travelogs on the western portions of the United States. The experience of playing on Mr. Steven's B football team is one that cannot be repeated. His coaching removes the grudgery and grind of practice and replaces it with desire and fortitude. A B teamer never doubts on Friday night that he will win on Saturday. This spirit and persever- ance has led the Bulldogs to five unprecedented ABC League Championships. Each year Papa Bear has to remove something from his trophy shelf to make room for his latest award. Mr. Stevens is a respected educator and a successful coach but more important, he is a sincere friend. Passersby will almost always see a student seated in his office talking about chemistry, game plans or almost anything. Mr. Stevens leaves a lasting imprint of respect and leadership for all those who have met him. Liffwwy jg: 11, . . .,.,. sr- V'
