Work Study The Misericordia Hospital, located at 54th Street and Cedar Avenue, houses the Bartram Work-Study Program, which exposes students to various career areas including physical ther' apy, clerical practice, carpentry, electrical maintenance, cooking, and housekeeping. ln addition to assisting hospital patients and working with staff the students receive their lull complement of high school subjects neces- sary for graduation. Mr. Robert Concordia, the program 's director, reports that many graduates have entered the fields of work they explored while in the program. Some have subsequently been hired by the hospital. 9 ff ' A Jacqueline Adams lrightl, an active member ol the emergency team, checks a blood pressure device. Sonya McLemore duplicates materials for the var- ious oftices located in the hospital. Mary Clark sorts the incoming mail.
