PHY S I C AL EDUCATIO Physical Education at Bartram is designed to expose the student to a variety of activities. The purpose is to develop a healthy appreciation for all physical education. The program provides for self-evaluation of the student through a thorough physical fitness test battery that challenges each individual. This is done twice a year. It attempts to reach each individual with a typical program. This last acitivity is part of the regular gym program. The extra curricular programs are an outgrowth of the gym activities. The talented boy or girl, generally discovered in gym class, is encouraged to participate after school. The after school pro- gram is competitive in nature and appeals to the talented person. PECIAL EDUCATIO Two years ago a program geared towards helping the disabled learner was begun. Today, in this special educational program, students who are enrolled are taught the usual curriculum but are instructed at an individualized pace that is suit- able to them.
