Sidney Engel, Harry Glick, Robert Kane, Herbert Simon, Robert Parry. Bartram's Athletic Association ln every school where athletics are one of the activities, a supporting financial association is needed, Our school has created the Bartram Athletic Association, better known to the students as the A. A. Under the sponsorship of lVlr. Ball the A. A. has done a remarkable piece of work. It has performed many duties, including the equipping of all athletic teams, transportation to the games and proper seating facilities at them, the printing of A. A. books and schedules. lt represents all students either as members of our school athletic teams or as spectators at the games. A tribute is due to lVlr. Ball who for the last three years has prepared athletic programs and the present system of buying an A. A. book. The capable Work of Mr. Ball, President lVlike Valenza, and all A. A. representatives, past and present, is greatly appreciated by the students. 38 W! First ROIL'-' Mary Boyle. Betty Currinder. Alice Coder. Second Row! The Girls, Athletic Association The Girls, A. A. was organized in order to create a service point system to be used in making awards to girls for their participation in athletics. The Association was organized in the spring of 1941. The officers are Katherine lVIcGonigle, presidentg Peggy Zappini. vice-presidentg Josephine DeCamera, secretaryg and Edna lVlcDowell, treasurer. Although the Girls' A. A. has been organized only a short time, it has accomp- lished a great deal. Most of the girls in the school are members, and in the near future the Association hopes to do great things for Girls, Athletics at John Bartram. 90
