ALUMNI ASSOCIATION The John Bartram High School organized its Alumni Association in June, 1940. The chief aim of this organization is to keep the graduates interested in their Alma Mater. As older, more mature individuals, they may have a definite influence on the policies of the school. The secondary purpose is to keep graduates in contact with each other socially. A dance is sponsored by this group in the spring, and another in the fall, the night before Thanksgiving. The Thanksgiving Dance is to become a tradition of Bartranfs Alumni Association. Music Festival Executive Committee, January 16, 1942 The Bartram Music Festival, which is modeled upon the All-Senior High School Music Festival, was held in our auditorium on the evening of January l.6, l91l2. It included all the musical organizations in Bartram. Miss Easley, who shouldered the entire responsibility, directed the vocal ensemble of two hundred voices, the thirty-six piece orchestra and the girls, choral group of twenty-four voices. Mr. Goldman, director of the band, conducted that group of forty pieces. Although this was the first Inusic festival which Bartram has had, it will be repeated annually hereafter. The soloists for this presentation were George Lunn, Beatrice Geiger, Chris- topher Brennan, and John Rejebian. The following students served as the committee for sale of tickets and clerical work: Betty SlipakoH, Lillian Zellman, Sara Gordon, Louise Baus, Robert Durning, Maryann Harris, Robert Allen. 101
