Women win ci The varsity volleyball team brought sports glory to Adams by winning the 1975 PIL Championship for the sec- ond time in a two-out-of-three playoff match. The team then lost two straight matches at the State Tourna- ment to Bend and Churchill which somewhat dulled the luster of their championship. Compiling a perfect 11-0 mark, the varsity squad swept through the league led by Becky Harris, who 3' iii -, - f' iw swat tm - , at 'H will ,,rt .,,.-L t ty spike title, foil in stote tourney Coach Tom Swanson called the best spiker in the state, sister Jenny Harris, Vicki Smith, Shawn Shaugh- nessy, Diana lvlarlett, Collette Miller, who Swanson called the hardest work- ing player, Niki Cannard and Delores Lewis. Other categories in which Swanson singled out players included Smith for spiking and blocking and Shaugh- nessy and Miller for serving.
