Varsity wins three gcimes We set out to win, but that didn't happen , stated Head Coach John Hairston. Finishing the season with a 3-11 record, the Pats dropped again into the PlL's East Division celler. Hairston said that commitment and dedication seemed only to flourish in one person, Rick Hays, who played shortstop for the patriots. Those results obviously displeased most people involved, but none more than Coach Hairston. We set out to win, but we just couldn't put it together. The big win was a 4-0 shutout over Jackson. The teams talent was no less than any others, but you just can't teach a person to run fast. Mark Ell, Fiick Hays, Pete Demas, Tim Crawford, Tim Helzer, and Mike Gentry are the graduating seniors.
