f 1 1 la W 7 g I L ' ...Rf THE BRIDGE Are we really graduaTingf7 This phrase is becoming a cliche among Seniors, as we busily rush abaul The halls. For mosT oT us, our sTay aboard The Clipper Ship will be cherished wiThin our hearTs in The years To come. As we disembark and sTep onTo The soil so sTrange To us, we realize how much harder we musT work. We are like Tawns Trying To secure sure TooTage on an uneasy ground. This ground represenTs liTe. We know we musT be ready To meeT The chal- lenges oT The TuTure, and ThereTore, hold our heads high. ATTer graduaTion, we will realize The why and necessiTy oT our schooling aT John Adams. Perhaps, Tor some oT us, momenTs oT discour- agemenT seemed To prevail, especial- ly when reporT-card Time came around. l-lowever, we will remember The Triendships, The lessons we've been TaughT, and how our Teachers have Tried To make erudiTe people ouT oT us. IT we know we have done our uTmosT in making our high school liTe successTul and enioyable, we can be mosT proud. Perhaps only aTTer graduaTion will we appreciaTe and be mosT ThankTul Tor The Training and guidance oT our principal, Mr. William A. Clarke, Miss lvlarie I.. Keller, lvlr. William A. PaTTerson and The members oT The TaculTy. We hope ThaT we will be able To make Them look Tondly back upon our sTay aboard The Clipper and proudly Toward our TuTure goals and accomplishmenTs. While walking slowly, sadly and proudly To receive our diplomas, per- haps some oT us would like To recall The words oT one, Thomas lvloore: When time who steals oar years away, Shall steal our pleasures too, The memory of the past will stay Azul half oar joy renew. Betty Biscoglio
