Your classmates are bustling about you as they straighten caps, comb hair, fix collars, tighten ties or refresh lipstick. Many excited phrases catch your ear. Which side does this tassel go on? Where's my collar? May I borrow your comb? I don't see my folks out there yet. I hope they get a good seat. Gee, we're finally graduating! Yes, you have achieved the title of Senior and now you are graduating from John Adams High School. You have all your Freshmen qualms, school dances, games, forums, assemblies, G.O. campaigns, exams behind you. These experiences and per- formances are all molded together to form your cherished high school memories. Now that commencement is here and you look back over the past few years in Adams, do you think you have properly acquired the title of Senior? While at Adams did you make the most of your days? Were you an active class member? Did you choose your program wisely? Did you participate in the extra-curricular activities? High school graduation is not just a time to remember all those carefree days and the swirling Senior activities, its a time to evaluate yourself and see what pathway you have ventured upon. If you lacked school interest, a goal, the proper companions, the right set of values, school may have seemed boring or trite. If you are on the wrong route, change now. If you are midway and do not know where to turn next, sit down and study the maps and charts, Locate yourself and steer correctly because you are embarking upon a new voyage. At times the sailing will be rough but the hardships will pass quickly if you are on the right course. Now the graduation march is beckoning you. Adjust your cap and gown and walk down the aisle with your best foot forward to the future.
