SHOVING OFF AFTER FOUR years spent in Iohn Adams, the Clipper ship has come into port and we are about to dis- embark. The time has come for us, the graduating class of Iune 1954, to say farewell. We try to say good- bye without becoming sentimental, but as we trace back our wonderful years at Adams we can feel a lump in our throats and tears burning in our eyes. It was just four years ago that we, as eager and bewildered fresh- men, assembled in Memorial Hall and were divided into our respec- tive classes. From that time forward, we started toward our goal of at- taining senior status and long-awaited graduation day. The years were filled with hard work, lots of study, exams, and extra-curricular activities. But these seemed few to the many times we had, and the close panionship with our classmates. Then as the years went on, we became adjusted to the routine. We accepted things as they were given to us. Remember the fun and excite- ment of listening to the G.O. cam- paigns and voting for the one who good com- Twenty-four Rosemary Nodar promised soda in the lunchroorn? Then in the winter term, we cheered our football team until we were hoarse. When Christmas came, we witnessed the wonderful play and Christmas music in assembly. While we were still getting ac- customed to our surroundings, the years were rolling by and we soon found that we had reached that wonderful status of senior. Our many friends, class night, the Prom, new senior buttons, senior day, and finally our graduation exercises will linger in our memories for a long time to come. Realizing that any goal in school cannot be achieved without full cooperation between student and faculty, we derful skipper, Mr. William A. Clarke, assisted so ably by Miss Keller and our many fine officers. These ever- lasting memories and events would not have been possible without their patience, guidance, and under- standing. say thanks to our won- Now as we prepare to embark on a new voyage, it's good-bye from the Class of Iune '54.
