Q- 5 A 5' X . ' -Io 1 4 3 ' I' ' I -ld First Place '44 THERE HAS been much talk about brother- hood during the past few years, yes much talk, but comparatively little action. Now more than ever man must have the courage to exemplify his beliefs. He must not defeat his purpose by harboring greed, suspicion and fear. A little respect, human understand- ing and charity must be exercised, for these form the foundation of international coopera- tion. The San Francisco Conference is undoubt- edly one of the largest steps that has been taken in an effort to create world peace. Should this fail, then, everything our late President stood for will fail. Perhaps we will find ourselves right back where we started from, but I'd rather think that this is not a mere Utopian dream but a reality, which can be carried out by brave men who, like Fresi- dent Roosevelt, are star-led to build the world again because they believe in the brotherhood of man under the fatherhood of God.
