Exploration of the Unknown and the Unseen The varied science courses have the common goal of teaching the basic elements of life. Physical Science Is offered for those students wishing to receive a stronger foundation of basic science First year biology explores the concepts of living organisms. Further information about plants and animals is gained through advanced biology Physics and chemistry courses strive to explain the generally accepted but little understood facts of the world around us. A student learns how to think for himself by working In the lab and then drawing conclusions from the chemical reactions he has observed. A new course, second year chemistry, explores these same principles in depth. The science department, with Mr. Reber as its head, coordinates these courses into a well rounded and meaningful phase of the academic program.
