L 29 - Teens The Y-Teens began the year with a Wel- coming Tea for the freshmen girls and a tea for the city exchange students. On Church Sunday, they gathered for some to attend a Catholic Church, others a Pro- testant Church. The annual decoration of the school Christmas tree was tackled. As before, a party followed. The Y-Teens sponsored sessions with Miss Hunt and brought Mrs. Hickock for an eight-week modeling course followed by a fashion show at Robertson's. Hi- Adams Eve is that one time of year for the Hi-Y boys to display their basketball talents. They played the Freshmen and wonf?j. An added attraction was the cor- onation of a High-Why queen. One of the many services that the Hi-Y perform is the filling of Thanksgiving bas- kets for the needy. Little Five Hundred, home room bicycle racers competed in a 12 mile bicycle race. The money earned is used for a scholarship for some deserving student. Some of the service projects for this year were collecting for the heart fund, pro- viding recreation down in the Little Thea- tre during lunch hours, and having the Share Their Fare drive. The Council is composed of students elected by their home room representatives and who serve as representatives. In addi- tion to the representatives are the members of the student council board.
