The burning of the ill-rivalries is shown by the bonfire co-sponsored by the Adams and Central Booster Clubs. Tradition Runs Strong at Adams Traditions play a very important role in our life under the tower. In the Fall we came back to the Sho' Ya Round for the Frosh and the Back-to-School Assembly both of which are sponsored by the Student Coun- cil. The Honor Breakfast is given by the N.H.S. at the beginning of each semester to recognize the straight-A students of the previous semester. The Share Their Fare drive whose slogan this year was Adams for Peace met with better than usual success and will pay for two exchange students for next year. Our football season was high- lighted by the game with our old rival Cen- tral and the crowning of our Queen and her Court. Christmas season for us began, as always, with our Christmas Vesper Service and our beautiful candlelight processional. Freshmen and Sophomore classes had their parties while the Seniors attended the Mid-Year Prom. Basketball was of primary interest during the winter. We were filled with ex- citement as we watched the Riley game and wondered who the Queen would be. Adding a light note to our winter activities was Adams Eve. Warm spring days accompanied the long awaited Junior and Senior Proms, the ex- citement of the Little 500, and elections for offices for next year. Finally, the most im- portant day of the year for the class of 1959 -June 2-Graduation Day! r x NS.. juniors Kent Hedman, Carolyn Bird, Lucy Thibos, and Terry Lehr are fitted for their class rings as they anxiously await the time when they will be seniors. Returning all the help of the faculty, Freya Finch and jo Dobecki pour at the annual Album Faculty Tea.
