At the annual Senior Assembly, many exciting awards were given, Those who led the class in scholarship as valedictorians and recipients of the jeweled Stundant Council Scholarship Award were jerry Gibson, Kathryn McVicIcer, and Fred Wegner, Following these students was Barbara Stanz, the salutatorian, Barbara, Nancy Bartol, Nancy Giordano, Marjorie Soelch, and Paula Tanner received the Gold Student Council Award, Silver Award rec'pients were Bob Annis, Betty Lou Bryant, Wally Goffeney, jeanette Graf, Elizabeth Lehner, joan Mann, Sheila McMurray, Ernest Mendler, Rodney Million, and Beverly Watson The john Adams Citizenship Award, gift of the Class of '42, was awarded to jim McNeiIe and Beverly Watson The DA R History Award went to Kathryn McViclcer and the D A R, Good Citizen Award was presented to Betty Lou Bryant, Nancy Giordano received the Bausch and Lomb Science Award, The Berg Vocal Music Award went to Roland Gibson and the Instrumental Award to Carolyn Deardorff, jim McNeile received the jeweled TOWER pin for his excellent work as editor of this year's TOWER, The PT A, Industrial Arts and I-lome 'Economics Awards went to Robert Krug and Sarah LaFollette, respectively, The CIO.---U.A.W, Local No. S Industrial Arts Award was presented to Bill Carter, Don I-lowell was recipient of the Coaches' Award, Gold Glee Club Pins were conferred on Alberta Addison, Nancy Bartol, Virginia Blackford, Betty Lou Bryant, Ida Mae Fisher, jerry Gibson, jerry Gray, joyce I-luffman, Sue LaFolIette, Therese Lazzara, Lois Lenon, Ned Mastalc, Kathryn McVicker, jean Miller, Charles Ortt, Roger Wade, and Beverly Watson. VALEDICTORIANS jerry Gibson, Kathryn Mcvicl-zer, Fred Wegner Silver Glee Club prns went to Pat Center, Pam I-ludson, Barbara Stanz, Paula Tanner, Leonora Young, and Virginia Blackford, Ushers Awards went to Bill Adelsberger, Paul Chalfant, Bob Krug. Ernest Mendler, Dewey More, Kevin Navarre, Fred Neuter, Bob Shultz, Bob Smith, Bill Stolcenberg.
