0 RI STAF Room 203, fifth period, was the den for journalistic- , minded scribes. The continuous hum of clacking type- writers and discussing voices sounded forth as the 6 twenty-eight staff members met deadlines for twelve l publications. Making page layouts, gathering news, writing stories and headlines, and counting copy were routine procedures for the preparation of each issue. The Old-Time issue, the April Fool's publication and the Senior issue were characteristic of the staff's efforts to appeal to the reading interests of its 1500 subscribers. During the exciting hours of waiting and hoping, the teachers and students pick the very best in the group of girls who try out. During the year the Cheerleaders sponsored different activitiesg the Christmas Dance and various pep rallies. The pep rallies are usually held before school the eve of a game.
