0 RI STAF Room 203, fifth period, was the den for journalistic- , minded scribes. The continuous hum of clacking type- writers and discussing voices sounded forth as the 6 twenty-eight staff members met deadlines for twelve l publications. Making page layouts, gathering news, writing stories and headlines, and counting copy were routine procedures for the preparation of each issue. The Old-Time issue, the April Fool's publication and the Senior issue were characteristic of the staff's efforts to appeal to the reading interests of its 1500 subscribers.
