Bank first row Bren nan Peloqum second row Harder K em Jennnrgs third row Lei el Bifulk ohn son A fourth row Rode Amev Bahne mann Drake RADIO WORKSHOP An organization that plays a very Important part in the building of a Democracy by their belief in the freedom of speech as the Radio Workshop Workshop students learn the funda mentals of broadcasting which Includes script writing and reading diction dramatlcs and announcing Organized in i942 they practice in their own well equipped studio and give actual broadcasts over the air waves Under the direction of Miss Downing the Workshop has presented such programs as Golden Stories Adventures in Drama and the Junior Town Meeting which was broadcast on the sublect Should All American Citizens Be Sublect to Con scription For Essential Work ln Time Ot War? BANK With all our money transactions carried on at Johnson what would we do without our smoothly operated bank? Under the direction of Miss Edith Beckman the bank of Johnson High School has taken over the posting transactions and banking deposits for all School classes and clubs Mr Robert Diehl former bookkeeping teacher and principal of Johnson started this new and efficient system which because of its many great advantages l'as been adopted by most other St Paul high schools This banking system proved such a success that it is still being used today P13 twfvt I ' ,' I ' , .b I . , J - 1 - . . . .
