Elaine Cannon as Alice found herself asking this ques- tion quite often during the Childrens Theater production, “Alice in Woderland . This magical fantasy proved to be as wonderful as its name. Many children were delighted as Alice traveled through the land of make believe, talking to animals, going to mad Tea Parties , and playing a unique game of croquet with the Queen of Hearts and her court. What are the major factors in pro- ducing a successful play? The direc- tor, officers, and cast agree on two things: spirit and cooperation. Director Gerard Gretzinger was quo- ted as saying, The cooperation is just as good as any other year! The spirit of Childrens Theater every year is fantastic. At the beginning of the year, no one knows one another, but at the end of Childrens Theater we're all close friends. He also add- ed, Childrens Theater is the most beautiful thing that I've ever exper- ienced at Coleman. The feeling of friendship and love is enough in it- self to make it a success. When asked what he thought of this year's production. Producer Bernie Gray had this to say, I'm very op- timistic. It v i 11 be moving, and a good experience for not only the staff and cast, but also the school and aud- ience. I thank the cast, crew, and director for making my year as Pro- ducer enjoyable, and the experience of a lifetime. President of Childrens Theater, Car- mel lo Tornatore. had this to say of the production, f,The play is fantas- tic! We've received total coopera- tion! Alice in Wonderland v iII appeal to everyone. It has humor, color, groat music, and terrific choreography. This year's Childrens Theater of- ficers include, Carmel lo Tornatore, President; Judy Milne, Vice Presi- dent; Jean Kren, Secretary- Treasurer. With a wonderful cast and the fan- tastic officers, Childrens Theater has once again become an outstand- ing success. 60
