Varsity Basketball Boasting a 13-1 record and first place in the National Division, last year's Girls Basketball Team earned the respect of its opponents in the UCAL. This year, that respect is still well deserved as four of last year's start- ing players have returned. Captain Janet Knott leads the experienced group at center, and share rebound- ing duties with Kathy Mahoney. Kathy Turck and Catherine Blum return as guards. In addition to these four, the other players on the team are very talented, and contribute greatly to firm a strong unit. At the time of the Yearbook interview. Miss Getty, the team's Coach, was quoted as saying, The team is favored to do at least as well as last year. back: Coach D. Getty, J. Sanderl, K. Mahoney, C. Schatzel, C. Blum, E. Schneider (Mgr.), J. Knott, B. Hooker, K. Turck.
