GZGM With the darkening clouds of war threatening our present lives, we can but hope- fully look over these times of chaos and glance into the crystal ball of future days. So, let's take a peek at what 1955 has in store for the graduating class of '45, Juanita Hicks is now secretary to the governor of Tennessee. We see she made good use of her executive ability. Mary Stenberg isn't hard to find in our crystal ball. She is the now famous Madame Marie, owner of the Belle Dame Shoppe in Paris. Our next glance shows us none other than Alma Nicholson, who is now on a tour around the world. Now, as we look into the crystal ball, who should we see but Alvin Greer, out on that Greer Plantation, where he, his wife, and five boys are making a great success growing tobacco. Hfmfmfm, what is this??? We see that Vallie Mai Krantz and Ruth Helen Owens are still single and living together, having a wonderful time. But they're still hoping, I guess. But, alas, Aurelia Falls is still Aurelia Falls, teacher of Home Economics at her Alma Mater. Marie Jones is no longer Miss jones, but Mrs. Donald Hudson, and has adorable twin girls, the very image of their charming mother. After rough flying, James Capps made a smooth landing right into the major leagues. He's right in there pitching and can certainly say he has accomplished his ambition to be a great baseball player. Pat Carney also seems to have accomplished her desire to become a great singer. She is now the leading soprano with the Metropolitan Opera. It seems that after all, Ethel Reasoner and jerry Reeder couldn't get away from basketball. jerry has received the honor of being the high scorer of the United States, and Ethel is an AllfAmerican guard. Little Katherine Sterry is operating a dancing school in Cuba, teaching the natives to do the Rhumba and Conga. Before our view appears The Florence Nightingale of this Senior Class. It is none other than Nurse Imogene Carney, and her career is bringing her lasting success. We see Johnny Ingram gave up his ambition to be a lawyer because of the great need for doctors. He is now staff doctor at Central State Hospital, Murfreesboro, Tenn. Good luck, johnny. You'll need it. By the way, how are you and your head nurse, the former Marjorie Anderson getting along? Ha, Marie Adcock realized her ambition, and changed her name to Mrs. Lawrence White. When we have seen our dreams and ambitions fulfilled in future years, it will be our pleasure to look back over our high school days, and to realize that it was there we gained our philosophy of life which set us safely on the road to success.
