B EJ st we IN Hello Week festivities started off on Friday, September 10, with Western day. Walking down the halls one could see many dressed in fancy western attire. On Monday the military shone brightly. Students dressed in clothes from the army, ma. ues, and the air force. Also on Monday Hug tupons were issued to every girl. By receiving a hug or giving a rtug from the girls a guy would try to collect the most coupons. This idea helped makecloser bonds between classmates. On Tuesday, Togc: day brought the ancient Greeks to Ferris. Solgons wrappe remselves in different styles of sheets, put wreaths around treir head, and sandals on their feet. Wednes- day's Twin day showed creative ideas of two students trying to look identical, Class color day which brought about much spirit concluded the final day of Hello Week. An appropriate color wos assigned to each class, Freshmen, green, Sophomores, blue, Juniors, black, Seniors and Faculty, Scarlet ond Silver. On Friday evening students' gathered in the cafeteria for the Cheerleaders' Annual Kickoff Mixer. Hello Week, on A.S.B. designed activity, brings out Soxon Spirit needed at the beginning of school. 1. Wendy Liles and Lisa Stahofsky wonder if dressing like this is really worth it. 2. Tami Danielson takes a big bite. 3. Smiling ond ready to ottack is Lisa Overstreet. 4, Vicki Grizzle is o real Ferris cowgirl. 5. Stacy Robinson and Stacy Oliver, victims af the draft? o. Heidi Vanderwilde, Laurra Bauer, and Cathy Peterschick bring togetherness at lunch. 7, On his tricycle Dove Ferrell is in the lead! 8. Christine Wildey is ready to enter the academy. 9. Kicls-Off Mixer Scores At the end of l-lello Week on Fridoy, September 17, 1982, the Vorsity Cheerleaders presented the onnuol Kick-off Mixer. From 8:50 to 11:80 p.mg in the cofeterio students celebroted the victory over NC. Lorry Lowson ond Fred Shunter set up the sound system of previously recorded ropes. The Cheerleoders chose the vorious types of songs. Pom Poms, footboll equipment ondako Soxon megophone set the scene for cz victorious footboll yeor in the boclsground of the pictures, provided by Rueco. The Vorsity Cheerleoders mode o profit of S700 which will help next yeor's squod poy for comp. An overwhelming turnout showed students' greot support of their school.
