Foreign exchange students have helped Ferris . igh more familiar with other cultures. rerris hosted change students and three immigrants. Each of these responsibility for school work and extracurricular activities other student enrolled at Ferris. Petteri Jorvinen, a blonde haired, blue eyed junior, is Jyoashyla, Finland. Petteri lived in Spokane for one year and said he come here to explore a different country and have a better understanding of a foreign language. Juan Moscoso del Prado, a junior from Pamplona, Spain, became involved in soccer, skiing, the scream team, and calculus. Another student from Spain is senior Carlos Gerboles. He enjoys playing soccer, snow skiing, and plans to graduate at Ferris. Rieko Komatsu, a key athlete on the volleyball team, is a senior from Kowasaki, Japan. Atswyoski Shibata from Kasugai, Japan plans to graduate at Ferris. Although he has already graduated from a school in Japan, he wishes to attend an American University. Ole Steinhoff is a student from Hamburg, Germany. Two activities he enjoys include soccer and playing musical instruments. From Stockholm, Sweden came Per Norlin. Per held the number one seed on tne boys' tennis team. His purpose in coming to America was to explore a new and different culture. Another student from Stockholm, Sweden is senior Thomas Sibersky. Thomas was second seed on the varsity tennis team. Three immigrants also enrolled at Ferris. This group includes Maria Esparza, a senior from Mexico, Kati Taghine jad, a sophomore from lrang and Khol Huu Bui, ojunior from .South Vietnam. 6. 7. 5. Per Norlin contemplates his next match.
