Colorguard Creates Some lllvloonlight Madness Lions, and Tigers, and Bears. On October 30th, between 9 and 12 o'clock, the Ferris cafeteria hosted these and many other costumed students. The 1981-1982 Colorguard spon- sored the dance with lulie Barlow as captain, and Sharron Hen- driques as junior captain. All members put in long hours to make the dance a success. Senior and Colorguard member Patty Shepard stated, 'llt turned out to be a good dance con- sidering the problem at the beginning. The problem Patty refers to was the band, Unicam which lost an amplifier during the first hour of the dance. When the band fixed the amplifier, the music still remained very quiet. Dancers either left or stood around and talked until 11 o'clock when the Ferris band brought their sound system up to help Unicam out. Once the music got louder those who remained enjoyed themselves. I had fun once the band got going, commented Christie Gilliland a senior. Profits from the dance helped to send the unit to different competitions, such as the one in the Kingdome on December 4th. ik 12.4 thx H , f'i,,e-5. at A D U' K' K f -.J za ffl if T' I
