Ed Collins received the most valuable runner award, while Dave Hib- shman was most improved. Mr. Phillips, a first -year teacher, coached the cross country team to their wins over Howe and John Glenn. The team is looking for- ward to a GREAT season next year. 50

Their season ended with victories over every- one in the conference except New Prairie , edging them out of the conference championship by only a hair. Outstanding players this year were Bob Moore as Most Valuable and Jay Killian as Most Improved. The team is looking forward to an excellent season again next year.
