IK THE 1963 SENIOR CLASS JIM NED HIGH SCHGOL TUSCOLA, TEXAS PRGUDLY PRESENTS SiiB '55 iv- S' Hx C LH I --,... N' ,, ix L N Nxxgg, ggi X Q 'F' X'-sax 1' f-- ,Sgsvm SS f S -3 it FOREWORD The sixth year in the life of Jim Ned High School has now ended and this is the sixth edition of the WARRIOR. The students who have gone before us in preparing this book have tried to show the different activities in a way that would bring to mind pleasant memories each time the book is opened. The 1963 WARRIOR staff has had this same ob- jective in mind. It has been our ultimate goal to make this WARRIOR especially for you, whether you are in your first year of Jim Ned or in your last. As you turn the pages of your 1963 WARRIOR, we hope you feel that you are looking inside the heart and life of every boy and girl at Jim Ned. DEDICATION It has been said, 'We should not judge a man's merits by his great qualities, but by the use he makes of them. Not because of the great qualities you possess, but because of the tireless qfort you have put forth in each of the many tasks you have performed for the .lim Ned School, because you have let your light so shine that you have been an inspiration to all whom you have encountered, and because you have not only been coach, teacher, and sponsor, but a real friend to each of us, we, the Senior Class humbly and respecfulbf dedicate this, the 1963 WARRIOR to you, MR. FRANK HIBLER. EDITORS' NOTE It has taken many hours of intent planning and diligent work to prepare an annual that would preserve for you the fond memories of Jim Ned that you now hold in your heart. The spleruiid co-operation that has been manyizsted through the preparation ofthe 1963 WARRIOR has been an attribute to its success. Therefore, as editors, we wish to thank all of those who have helped to make this annual a reality. But to the annual staj' and to Mrs. Holliday, our adviser, we extend our deepest appreciation. Our reward lies in the presentation of the 1963 WARRIOR! Editor , I Q19 Co-Editor TABLE L. W' A! Something of your personality-what you said what you did-will remain with us to become a part of the lengthening years o of tradittbn. Conversely, some of.lim Ned will go with you wherever you are We will share in your success and be partners in your failures and disap pointments. Many of the facts you learned in school will soon fade in your memory We hope this may not be so with regard to the greater principles and ideals which you have captured these past years. Good luck to each of you! SiIlC6T8b yours, f ,f If 7 1' 'i,f 7?1'LLZYffSl llticfff i Dear Students: You have met the ups and downs of another school year with the same fine spirit that is typical of the students of .lim Ned. May each of you survey the past with a sense of accomplishment, and look to the future with thought- ful anticnwation. It is my sincere wish that you will continue to be a source of inspiration as you have thus far. Your splendid co-operatibn makes teaching a pleasure. Sincerely yours, PRINCIPALS' MESSAGE Seniors and other students: Your yearbook has recorded many of the pleasant highlights in your high school life, and, as the years go by, you will treasure them more and more: This yearbook will also recall to your minds many other pleasant memories that cannot be recorded in any book. One of the rewards of teaching is the pleasure of being able to work with fine students. Sometimw stu- dents state what teachers have done for them, but too seldom do teachers say how students have helped them. We, as teachers and administrators, gain a greatdeal from working with students like you. It is our wish that your life in the future will be as pleasant as the past few years have been.
