RAY Transfer From Odessa Sports Editor '58, '59 Basketball '57 The thirty seniors whose pictures appear above began their school career in eleven different schools. The 13 students who started at South Taylor are Stanley Boulter, Fannie Brookreson, Judy Fry, Annie Graham, Donna Griffith, L. G. Smith, Leola Reid, Mary Alice Strother, BillSwindle, Kathy Vinson, Wanda Wilder, Sidney Young, and James Kelley. The 1947 first graders at Lawn were Sylvia. Rose, Ray Dean, Gary Grant, Joe Rogers, who left in the secondand returned as a sophomore, Wesley Landers, James Hancock, and Terry Ray, who is the latest member of our class. Terry moved to another town :ln the first grade and returned to Jim Ned as a senior. William Betcher came to the Lawn School system from Oplin in the second grade. Robert Cleveland started at Bradshaw and J. W. Allmand at Wingate. Robert came to South Taylor as a third grader and J. W. as a second grader. Gene Fox, who joined our class as a Junior, started to school in Idalou. The students who started at Goldsboro are Janice Pentecost and Peggy Taylor. Betty Nell Morris came to South Taylor in the third grade from Roby. Freeda Hamon started her first grade year in school at Monahans. G. W. Ashwander was the only out of state first grader. He started in California and came to Lawn during the second grade. Armando Torres of New Braunfels, Texas, was a member of the senior class for two terms. 23
