Bridger opened it's doors in 1967. It was very different fifteen years ago. During the first four years, Bridger only had seventh grade. There were six hundred and fifty students. In 1971, a major change took place. The student body was expanded to include the eighth grade. This made a total of one thousand one hundred and fifty students. In 1975, the ninth grade was added when a new gymnasium was completed. With the freshmen came athletlics. School spirit livened the students. Next year, the ninth grade will transfer to the high school. Bridger will once again be filled only by seventh and eighth grade. The freshmen will be moved into the high school system. This will bring an end to many activi- ties. Pep club, drill team, cheerleading and all sports will no longer be part of Bridger Junior High. I
