18 CLASS PROPHECY All the graduates from the class of '73 have now arrived in the old high school library. They are all ae to crowd on top of the hot air register since it's mid-July and the snows are coming soon. Gosh! BU yeahs ee me a long time ago. But all the kids--er, I mean graduates--are still the same! Delbert Moke gas just boasted that os the 14th time in a row, he has entered his fantastic racing car in the National Kiddy-Car Invitational, and for the 14th time, he has failed to get it started. We prophesy that Del will get it going in time to qualify for the 71st race of the century. c ‘leaning those spark plugs, Del! nee oe Se eaaanteee of her own television show called It Takes A Sneak , where Tricky Dicky lunch sacks aren't even safe. She lives by her motto: ''You make 'em, I take 'em! ' David Holmes is now the major stock holder in the Lucky Lager Brewery; he qualified for this important position by downing 114, 000 mugs of the golden brew in one short weekend! David not only handles all export orders, but is also in charge of importing the stuff. Congratulations David! Careen Reirson is currently chairmen--ahem! Chairms--of the U.N., U.S.A.,M.A., and R.S.V.P. Cancer Society. She has really cut down herself and boasts of a modest three packs a day...in her spare time. John Nelson is hot on the trail of another offender against organized pollution. He is the left-hand man of Ralph Nader and is currently working against car defects. Today John is test-driving his 92nd car this month. If this one holds up, they're making them better than they use to. Tim Foster, while touring the country in his Rio, made a wrong turn by the Elsie Store and bypassed his original stop at the Elderberry Inn. He has been making frequent stops for pick-ups ever since: Blondes, Brunettes, and Redheads! That seems to be all the graduates who are coming to the reunion. But wait! Is it a bird? Is it a flying squirrel? No--it's Carl Norman covered all over with sweet cedar chips. For 25 years in a row Carl has been crowned King of the Northrup Creek Timber Carnival. His winning event was successfully balancing 73 axe handles end to end with both feet still on the ground. Wow! What a day this has been. Good luck to all of you. May your next 30 years be as successful as the last! Be the Best of Whatever You Are If you can't be a pine on the top of the hill, Be a scrub in the valley--but be The best little scrub by the side of the rill; Be a bush if you can't be a tree. If you can't be a bush, be a bit of the grass, Some highway happier make; If you can't be a muskie, then just be a bass- But the liveliest bass in the lake! We can't all be captains, we've got to be crew, There's something for all of us here. There's big work to do, and there's lesser to do, And the task we must do is the near. If you can't be a highway, then just be a trail, If you can't be the sun, be a star; It isn't by size that you win or you fail- Be the best of whatever you are!
