In December, classrooms began to put on holiday airs. Each group vied good naturedly with the others in trying to prepare the prettiest room. Many pupils started working in the stores to help the local merchants answer the Christmas rush. The Academy Students celebrated the feast of the Immaculate Conception by a special program on December 8: a Mass at Notre Dame church, a communion breakfast in the cafeteria, the presenta- tion of carnations to Mary, two skits, and an inspiring conference on the Christo- phers given by Father Poirier . . . Offering flowers to Our Lady Cl. to r.J : T. Picard, M. Mailloux, Al. Menard, J. Moreau, and E. Scanzio. ,Ni Cecile Moquin beautifully pictured the Immaculate in a closing tableau. Clodie, Abraham, Bernadette. Rev. Roger Poirier gave a Christopher Talk to conclude the Marian celebration. He stands here with a group of pupils from his parish, St. Mathieu's.
