Every year, ambitious members of the National Fraternity of Student Musicians prepare a six to ten piece well- balanced program, plus three or four musicianship phases, which they play from memory before a highly competent judge. This judge designated by the Guild, gives both commendations and criticisms on the young players' achievements. Many pupils, in the past, have won, from the Guild, high honors for themselves and prestige for their school.
