tl Mmm .sr QWW MHZ? 0l'l'LQl'l . . . WAQIICQ . The home is the garden where the seeds of virtue are sown, the mother, the gardener who tenderly nurtures their sprouting. There, in an atmosphere of affection and love the child first learns that the practice of virtue brings happiness. There, grow- ing up with brothers, sisters, and neighbors, the little miss comes to appreciate the advantages of coopera- tion, of self-control, of self-discipline, and of friend- liness. Home life reveals to her the great fundamental truths - that, as social beings, we cannot get along without one another . . . that we are all children of God the Father . . . that we are all on earth to know Him, love Him, serve Him, and to love one another in Him. If the family is sound and healthy, the young girl will acquire there the habits that will influence her whole life and career -- love of truth and order, of good music and literature, of thrift and purposeful recreation, of refinement and culture. When the little woman steps into school, she starts to build upon the training she has received in the family . . . She starts to build, for she alone is the architect of her own future. Her education takes place only when she herself wills it, when she cooper- ates with grace, when she cooperates with those who have something to teach her, when she 'exercises her own powers into acquiring a fuller measure of truth, a deeper love of the good, and a finer appre- ciation of the beautiful.
