LEARNING TO LIVE A Catholic School is successful when its graduates shape their lives according tc Catholic principles The systematic teaching ot r ligion in every grade is one means taken to attain the desired end Then the entire school day is steeoed in Catholic atmosphere with prayer woven as a golden thread throughout the hours When High School is reached another means of developing a Catholic mentality that will issue into a thoroughly C tholic life is encouraged 'lctiwe participation in the Sodality of the Blessed Virgin Mary The am of tle Sodality which includes personal sanctification sanctification of the neighbor spread and defense of the Catholic Church seems to sum up every Catholic students duty and ambition in life This organization established in almost every Catholic school helps its members both spiritually and temporally Our Blessed Lord once sa d I am the Vine and you are the branches the Sodalitk help us to realme our part in the Mystical Body The Soclalists motto Ad esum per Mariam To esus through Mary indicates the role Mary plays in the life of evfry Catholic and explains the devotion reverence and filial love each sodalist develops for her ueen Ad at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass on her successive feas s the practice of tae Five First Saturdays the study and imitation of her virtues are some expressions of a sodalists love for Qur Lady The patronal feast of the Immaculate Con ception and Marys Day in May are obs rved with special solemnity and joy Mary becomes a living force in the spiritual life of her sodalists Who does not need a strong character and will power?
