De uns Miss Anne Smead, dean of girls, has helped many girls through this year of changes. Every problem that has come into the office has been met with courage and un- derstanding. Teachers and students alike appreciate the splendid work of Miss Smead. M :ss Smead ,, Mr. Richard Langstaff, dean of boys, with his many oth- er responsibilities has again found time to help many of the students in school. It is no. easy task to meet and to solve the various situations that have arisen during the past year. However, Mr. Langstaff has merited the admiration of the teachers and students by his calm and efficient han- dling of the work. Miss Kudzia Mr. Langstaff Miss Wilma Kudzia, coordinator of activities, has com- pleted her second successful year in this position. Room 220 has become the clearing house for all social, athletic, and organization material. The work of her office has been so thoroughly done this year that faculty and students owe her a vote of thanks. Mrs. Le-uty Briese, our school nurse, has charge of Scott's section of the General Health Committee sponsored by the Board of Education. We are fortunate in having Mrs. Briese as the guide in this important work embracing food con- servation and problems of nutrition as related to high school students. Mrs. Briese eleven 1

It is our hope that he will continue as our advisor in many school activities and as our counselor in difficulties that may arise in our lives. Scott High wishes for him many years of added success. Mrs. Biggs Uffice Staff The handling of grades, the keeping of records, and the many routine du- ties of a large school are efficiently han- dled by the four women in the office. With the departure of Miss Snyder, we welcome Mrs. Mary Mitchell who will serve as our new clerk of books. It is a mystery to many of us how these busy Miss Snyrle twelve people can be so consistently pleasant to everyone they serve. Mrs, Wergz Mrs. Hnomr Miss Wisely Miss Carrie Wisely is the librarian at Scott. Students and teachers alike use her library which has grown consistently un- der her guidance. Her staff of eighteen student assistants de- serve commendation for a year of faithful service.
