J., teacher, counselor, builder, and friend of thousands of alumni of Jesuit High, a man who has devoted nearly all of his priestly life to our school. Each graduating class of Jesuit has its own memories of Father Tynan. The graduates of '64 will remember him most as the planner-builder-friend. For it was Father Tynan who conducted the sale of the old, red- bricked Jesuit on Oaklawn and the planning and building of our beautiful, modern structure on Inwood Road. It was his ever kindly interest, concern, and leadership that were responsible, over the years, for the creation, development, and transfer of a spirit that is distinctively Ranger-like. A THE LAST ROUNDUP will feature the highlights of the first year of Father Tynan's dream and will try to capture its spirit as a lasting memorial of his service and devotion to us and to the school.
