To Our New Dean . . . .3 ,Q When Jones first opened its doors eight years ago, a lady with a vibrant personality walked in-and shefs been here ever since. She entered Jones as a math teacher, later, she was appointed counselor, a position which she has held for the past three years. This year, she served Jones in another capacity, that of Dean of Women. Her name, of course, is Mrs. Caroline Ivy. Besides assuming the never-ending duties of Dean, Mrs. Ivy is sponsor of the Courtesy Club and co-sponsor of the cheerleaders. The Bird Boys, guardi- ans of our mascots, Sir Frederick and Sir Frederick, Jr., are also under her capable direction. In addition, Mrs. Ivy amazingly finds time to attend every pep rally and athletic contest. She is 'also a staunch supporter of the TALON four very first subscriber this yearlj, the GAUNTLET, and the Speech and Drama Department. Thus, in appreciation for a demanding job well done, we dedicate our book to you, Mrs. Ivy, saying thanks for just being yourself-with your gay smile, witty sayings, loyal devotion, charming personality, and . . . your messy desk! MRS. CAROLINE IVY a 'wr 2
