mbfeynwv, Fall Brings Fun . . . Fall brought fun, excitement, and memories. Football games became the focal point for excite- ment for all classes. Then as football season pro- gressed, the Kick-Off Dance added fun to those in attendance. Two contests, Most Beautiful and Most Hand- some, also brought excitement to many students. A new method for selection of Most Handsome Boys from each of the classes was tried. Whereas in past years the student body has elected a boy from each class by popular vote, this year four judges from the faculty selected both a winner and a runner-up. The Most Beautiful Girls were also selected in this manner. Valerie Ducas represents part of her junior class in the beauty contest. 36 See Richard jump. See me jump. Jump, jumpl! says Cheryl Craig while at the Kick-Off Dance. Hey, should I run now or later? asks Larry Harris.

Excitement . TEARFULLY, Queen Loanne Till accepts her title. . . Memories The 1965 Jones Homecoming Pageant was, as in past years, filled with excitement: the student body crowned a new queen, Loanne Till. Nan Lefforge and Jeanne Johanson shared in her reign. Each girl was presented a charm and flowers from the R.O.T.C. At the dance, they were each given anoth- er charm by the GAUNTLET staff. Entertainment was provided by the Modern Dance Club, Felton Sappington, Gail Htunphreys, and the Dixieland Band. Homecoming Princesses receive congratulations. fi Joy and excitement are mirrored on the faces of Princesses Nan Lefforge and Jeanne Johnson.
