Falcons Upset Defending City Champs, 7-0 Faster than a bullet straighter than an arrow. This win over the defending city champs showed Iones was good, but few people thought Jones would be the new city champs. In took the Fal- cons three quarters to score but Gary Brown ended a fifty-yard drive with a nine-yard plunge to paydirt. Teddy Caniff kicked the extra point to end the scoring. Only half of the stadium lights were on for eleven minutes but this didn't bother Van Brown. On the first play from scrimmage, he threw a 57-yard 'I'D pass. jones did even better with the lights on.
