Les Dix One of the greatest honors a senior can earn while at Jones, is to be selected to Les Dix. Les Dix, the French term for The Ten, is bestowed upon the ten outstanding seniors each year. They are selected with equal emphasis on scholastic ability, latitude of interest, cooperation, contribution to the student body and promise of future worth. In 1962, the first year Les Dix were chosen, the members represented BW of the Senior Class. But, since then, enrollment at Jones has increased, and Les Dix has come to represent a smaller percent of the Senior Class. This year's Les Dix represent only IW of their Senior class. The forty-five nominees were chosen by nomination by one of the major service organizations, the faculty, or by themes written by the students. Final selection of the members was made by a faculty panel composed of: Mrs. Caroline Ivy, chairman, Mrs. Eleanor Akers, Mrs. Kathryn Batek, Mrs. Renee Feeney, Mr. Larry Roberts, Mr. Ralph Teter, and Mr. James Trevathan. Semi-Finalists 568 Andreason, Karen Bearden, Kaye Bellah, Lynn Bond, Nancy Brown, Van Cass, Sheila Cornelius, Karen DeI.any, Paula DePriest, Dorothy English, Martin Godeke, Raymond Hammons, Ann Hoehn, Sheila Howard, David King, Valerie Land, Richard Lester, jimmy Little, Judy Maxwell, Tommy May, Shirah McCarver, David Murdy, Leslie Navarro, Regina Nystrom, Becky Patterson, jerry Rice, jim Robicheaux, Donna Smith, Bobby Smith, Thomas Stewart, Michele Tefteller, Steve Taska, Kathy Vondergoltz, Kathy Wilkins, jan Williamson, Mary Am
