The need of money to maintain organizations was always con- stant. And fortunately for the students, a bank that carried the same name as the school often heard the financial cry of the different clubs. With Jersey Village Bank support, contributions such as those that were given to the FFA, helped the club tremendously. The Gold Dusters were another organization that benefitted from the bank's contributions. With the bank's help, the Gold Dusters were able to travel to New York and England. The Band also received donations that went toward competitions. Numerous clubs within the school received money too, including the Yearbook. And because of the generous people at the bank, a 31,000 scholarship was given to a 'Qing' Cunningham-Band graduating senior. Written by Steve Tise. The project was sponsored by the Jersey Village Athletic Booster Club and was under the supervision of Jersey Village Mayor Carl Norman. Students' opinions on the subject ranged from Other schools have it - so should we, to Alt was a good attempt to boost school pride. But there were several contrasting opinions too. Sophomore Ruben Romair said, To tell the truth, I didn't really care about the painted Falconsg however, it was a nice touch.
