Week after week we slaved over books, crammed for tests and developed little writing blisters on our middle finger. The agony of those days had finally come to an end. It was time to throw away all those blistering pens and stuffed notebooks. Sum- mer had finally arrived. That meant the beach, General Hospital and sleeping past noon.
