Faculty Match for Qilersl Students of IV had a special treat this year when the Houston Oilers football team came and played a group of men faculty in a friendly game of basketball. By the end of the game, however, most of the faculty were probably wishing that they had stayed at home! The Oil- ers ended up beating the faculty by more than 20 points. Althouh the faculty was trying hard and playing its best game, it was apparent the Oilers were merely toying with them. The game, which was sponsored by the Senior class, also gave the fans a chance to get Oiler autographs during the halftime. a? Fashions Travel Back Z0 Years Fashion for 1978-9 has traveled back at least twenty years. The styles include: tight straight leg jeans, big blousing shirts, thin belts, high heel shoes and short curly hair. These fashions are found everywhere in the halls of jersey Village. Some of the most favorite styles are the high heel clogs, Candies, the silky blousing shirts, tight straight leg jeans, knee length skirts, ankle bracelets, and a crochet knit scarf tied at the ends and draped around the neck. This year a new fad in hair style has confiscated the school. Yes, curls are back and j.V.'s got em! Many girls and guys have turned their hair into little tiny curls. This hair style is very quick and easy to manage. just wash, towel dry and it's ready to go! a.j Beth and Nancy Daughtry wear one of the tee-shirts of the favorite high school band, destiny. b.j Laura Gaylan is in fashion from head to toe with curly hair, knee length dress, and Candies shoes. CJ Debbie Holmes wears a Tunic shirt with vest which is a popular style this year. d.j Vests and tailored pants were very fashionable this year and Carolyn Rosas wears them well.
