Clubs Performances Gutstanding Precision marching and accurate tun- ing pace the jersey Village Fighting Fal- con band from half time shows to the University interscholastic League Con- cert Contest. The band works hard every afternoon in order to perform at every Falcon foot- ball game. Later in the year they attend UIL Concert Contest to be judged on their ability to play as a group. Selling candy and spirit hats the band made enough profit for a bigger and better banquet. The banquet was held at the Pine Forest Country Club March 30th. February 16th the Band went to Dean to perform a concert. The purpose of the concert is to recruit a large num- ber ofthe eighth graders. A number of band members attended the UIL solo and ensemble contest. This enables the students to be judged on their individual talent. Those receiving a ist division get a medal for their achievements. Members who play a lst class number and receive a 1, get a chance to go to State Contest in May. ludy Eason, only girl trombonist, slides to the rhythm The band performed its famous diamond drill at the UIL Marching Contest held in Willis.
