While the jersey Village fans feel- ing unsure andthe Cy-Fair fans feel- ing they still may have a chance, the coaches and referees were in conver- sation about the foul that was called. The Falcons, who committed only 3 team fouls in the 4th quarter, were still allowed 2 more fouls before being penalized. Thus, the contro- versy was over and l.V. won 28-28. The Falcons kept going, beating Cypress Creek, 26-24 and Conroe, in a very well played game, 47-43. Although the Falcons came out first in the second round of district play, to earn the title of District Champs, the Falcons must beat the first round champs, Conroe. The dis- trict play-off game was held on Feb- ruary 16, 1979 in the Sam Houston State Coliseum, in Huntsville, Texas. The Falcons couldn't get things together and were behind the whole game. Although the Falcons never lost hope, they were defeated 38-45, but remained Co-District Champs. a.j Rick Morgan by Kenny Terry clj Doug Whitaker d Q Kevin McCarthy 140 - Sp rf
