Ricky Roland made a good effort in tackling the offense. The jersey Village Varsity Football Team had three members named to the 16-4A All District Team. Seniors Kevin Chandlerg offensive tackle and All Greater Houston All Star was selected as lst Team All District. Defensive cornerback, Pat Zaiontz and defensive linebacker, Dennis LeCroy were named to the second 16-4A All District Team. Sports The team gets fired-up in the huddle before the game End Maurice Hurt, gains more yardage for the Falcons.

M- 'lh-ng-, un...,..'-...Q ,Q f ...., s . j.V. Features f Slow Season The jersey Village junior Varsity football team opened the season with a 14-14 deadlock with the Scaraborough Spartans. The j.V. offense began to execute with enthusiasm as the Falcons dumped Alief Hastings 22-7 and Spring Woods 24-14. At this point a district championship looked good. The undefeated season came to an end. The Falcons' were never to taste victory again. The next seven games were defeats to Klein, McCullough, Spring, Cy-Fair, Conroe, Humble, and Cypress Creek. Our team was mostly Sophomores. We had to move a lot of junior Varsity players up to the Var- sity. explained Coach Marshall. The junior Varsity season was not a total loss. This is a learning experience for the boys mainly to get them ready for Varsity play. Alonzo Burr scores his first touchdown of the year.
