They still had more tragedy to come in the Conroe game with a 57-43 loss. The Falcons came with a great victory over the Spring Lions. When the buzzer was heard the Falcons came off the court with a 2O point lead, winning 68-48. McCullough met the vic- tory claw, as J.V. came away with their second dis- trict win, 52-38. Jersey Village met up with Bryan once again and came away with their fifth loss, 47- 33. Klein clipped the wings of the Falcons, and pulled out a 56-52 win. Varsity Post 1 'I-9 The swish of the basket was heard throughout the gym- nasium as the Varsity Basketball team finished with a non-district mark of 1 1-9. The district play opened against district favorite Bryan. With a great height advantage the Vikings squeezed by Jersey Village with a 53-45 victory. The second district loss was a heart breaker to the Falcons, in the Klein Bear- kat gymnasium 39-36. With Falcops at home they still suffered their third loss in district play against Cy-Fair 48- 37. Griff Robison passes the ball to another Falcon player. 50 - Sports Doug Whitaker tipped the ball to open the game against Northbrook. Henry Kellum goes up to sink the ball for a victory over Spring Branch Henry Kellum takes his two for the foul.

F Falcons Lose in O.T. J.V. was to take on the Cy-Fair Bobcats, who were up for dis- trict championship. It took two overtimes for the Bobcats to pull out a defeat over the Falcons 44-40. Jersey Village encountered the Conroe Tigers once again in district play. The Tigers were in for a surprise as the Falcons conquered the Tigers in the third district win of 56-50. The Falcons were flying high and powerful. Spring collapsed to a stubborn Falcon defense. Jersey Village came home with an over-powering win, 48-40. McCullough was the last game of the year for the fighting Falcons. The powerful claws of the Falcons crushed the inexpe- rienced team and they came away with their fifth win in district 37-29. The Falcons were a small team but that handicap didn't stop them from having a powerful season of five victories and seven hard fought defeats.
