With an enrollment of 319 the soph- omores blasted the other classes out at the pep rallies. In class competition, sophomores sat in their designated area to win the spirit stick four times. They would start cheers in the middle of the pep rallies and they made pos- ters to contribute to their spirit. After football games or just on a weekend sophomores were found in various places like Huckleberry's, Pizza Hut, Pizza Inn, Tin Hall, and Bill Mraz's. If sophomores were nowhere to be found, they were usually at a party. The race was on between the sopho- mores and their instructors. Any sophomore 16 or older was eligible to sign up for Drivers' Education. A written and signs test decides if a person is capable of receiving their restricted license. Simulation was the next giant step for sophomores. The trailer behind the band hall is really 25 cars in one, giving the student a chance to learn safety and regula- tion rules. After passing all required tests over films and actual driving skills a sophomore receives a certificate of approval. All there is left to do is truck on down to the Department of Public Safety and pass the driving exam. Sophomores - 251
