After School and What We Do! Top: Lee Savoie spends her after- noons talking to people in passing cars. Here it happens to be Brandt Kelley. Middle: Constable in the Rolling Fork Subdivision spends a lot of time with the J.V. students, although, usually not under friendly circumstances. Bottom: Mr. M's convenience store was a watering hole for vir- tually every student at J.V. I8 - Student life Many things which happen during school relate to what happens after school. A student's community as well as his school is the backbone of his character. What happens after school depends on the student: some go out of the village and some remain. Cruis- ing around the village can be very exciting because of the people you might meet. Or, you could stay in the village and exercise by riding a bike or running around the track. Those stu- dents who leave Jersey Village find fun at Huckleberrys, Pizza Hut, or Jack-ln-The-Box. But for weekend entertainment they might go to Uncle Sams, Tin Hall, or After Dark to dance. Galveston, Somerville, Spring Creek Park, and New Braunfels were gather- ing spots on the weekend also. WANTED

Senior Donald Mathews is very much in fashion wearing his leather jacket and platform shoes. fix Stickpins - a must for everybody's wardrobe were very widely seen. And to go along with all the stickpins were bangles and chains. The short straight hairdo just wouldn't go with all that fancy array of clothing. Curls were in! The wings were growing out and everybody got a perm. Guys too! N The afro and the solar hair styles were definitely a must. Soft, shiny curls went perfect with everyone's outtit. l Those curls sure did fit iust right with Khaki pants - a big success among the students. Khaki's went with everything, especially Khaki shirts drawn together with a gold belt. Students this year went for the free i look. Gold was evewwhereg around the arms, around the neck, around the ankles, and of course, the most popu- lar, woven into the clothes. f Bottom: The ever popular stick-pin! Top: As you can see, the neck scarf is still in style, and Donna Barhorst wears it well. Life-l7
