Kevin Kieth was nominated and later elected by the class of '78 Most Versatile. Kevin has played both football and baseball for four years. Kevin has participated in Industrial Arts, Fishing Club, F.C.A. president, and last year he was elected Most Handsome. Penny Smith was voted Most Likely To Succeed by her classmates. Penny said, Because of the past four years at J.V., I feel I have the background needed to start on the road to accomplishing the goals I have set for myself in life. I try never to quit once l've started some- thing, and plan to always get what I want. Being ranked number one Clay Vernon was elected Most Likely To Succeed. Clay would normally be graduating next year, but he went to summer school to graduate early. He also did this to get more educa- tion. Clay scored over 800 points on his S.A.T. He also scored the high- est inthe M.A.A. exam. -r 'f Classes -

Donna Barhorst was chosen by her classmates, Most Popular. Donna said, Because I have taken part in many activities at Jersey Village I feel people know me. However, I don't feel just one person can be singled out for this award. This is due to the fact that there are so many individuals who are popular in their own unique way. Kelly Boze was elected Most Popular of 1978. Kelly also held the rank of vice-president of the senior class, and also was elected Mr. J.V.H.S. He was also an outstanding student in Woodworking IV. 210 -- Classes Jeannell Smith has been involved in sports as well as other school activities. She was in many clubs the past four years: G.A.A., Fishing Club, F.C.A., Spanish Club, Science Club and National Honor Society. Jeannell was also a sophomore jun- ior varsity head cheerleader, Csen- iorj varsity cheerleader, and nomi- nated for Homecoming Queen. Jeannell enjoys being involved in all kinds of school activities.

Clay has been in several clubs such as: Mu Alpha Theta, Jets, Academic Bowl, Spanish, and Science. He has also participated in two honor societies: Science Honorary Society, and National Honor Society. Clay has been an outstanding student in math. He has over 20 trophies for math competi- tion. Clay was also listed, Who's Who in American High School Students. 21 2 Classes John Carey, Salutatorian, who ranked seconc next to Clay Vernon. John worked hard under a ful load his senior year. John chose to take five K4 Credit classes. John's hobbies are stamp collect- ing, working with honey bees, swimming, anc motorcycles. He has also been involved in severa clubs as well as honor societies such as: Academic Bowl, Jets, Science Club, Mu Alpha Theta, anc National Honor Society.
